Welcome To Sunshine Farms

.
The most recent Operation Shower event, "Sunshine Farms", was a smashing success. This shower was held at The Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines on January 25th.

There are so many pictures to share that I will break this down into a couple of posts! Click on any picture to enlarge!

Today's posts will focus on some of the decor. You will want to come back tomorrow though for the adorable sweets station by none other than, Sweets Indeed!

Let's get started!

When guests entered they immediately saw a veritable bounty of gifts in our "Gift Garden" and "Raffle Ranch" areas.
.

.
Don't you love that signage? A big thank you to Hostess With The Mostess herself, Jenn, for doing all the printables and graphic design for this shower and for coming out to help!
.

.
(An exhausted but excited pair...Jenn and yours truly)
.
The Gift Garden included diapers, adorable and cuddly items from Cloud B and the mos
t lovely handmade blankets for each mom, made by a local mom and her teenage daughter. Thank you, all!
.

.
Thanks for having such great Raffle Ranch handwriting, Andrea! Don't you love that little chair by Jennifer Delonge? Kirby Ink created a special "Sunshine Farms" print for one lucky mom, too.
.
Sun setting on set up day over the 14th green at Torrey Pines.
.

.
The next morning. Get ready...here we go!
.

.
Heavenly Blooms went above and beyond in donating all the gorgeous florals you see. When they all arrived in boxes it was a stunning sight to see. Thank you, Jaclyne!
.

.
Centerpieces were a mix of pails with kid sized garden tools, toy wheelbarrows filled with hay and fresh veggies and florals with mini haybales. We mixed all of that with basic black and white linens donated by Celebrity Weddings, runners made from burlap, sushine yellow plates, mason jars for drinking glasses and Jenn's fabulous printables. (Details of printables to come soon)
.

.
Don't you love these aerial shots? All photos are by my friend of over 25 years, LeeAnn Widyn. Widyn Photography is based out of Dallas, Texas so if you live there, check her out. She's amazing.
.

.

.

.
Thanks to our friends and partners at March of Dimes and Kmart for everything you do and everything we do together! Additional thanks to The PGA TOUR, Farmers Insurance, Ashford University and AT&T.
.
Okay, that is post #1. I promise there is so much more to come. To see all the photos, head over to Operation Shower's Facebook page and become a fan while you are there!

A Star Is Born

.
I'm back from vacation and getting caught up here. So many fun things to post and tell you about, but I must start with a little recap of Operation Shower's "A Star Is Born" baby shower two weeks ago.

The event was a great success thanks to so many wonderful sponsors, volunteers and friends.

Let's go behind the velvet rope and take a peek!

5 Star Baby for the adorable posters.
Beau-Coup for the perfect favor boxes.
BBJ Linens for the linens that set the stage.
Select Event Rentals for the tableware. No paper plates here, folks.
A Mommy and Daddy Production for the precious baby outfits packaged in Popcorn boxes. Cute!

.
And, here they are. The fabulous party girls I mentioned in this post below. I really couldn't have pulled this off in the short time frame without them! I hope to get a few more pics of some of the other details from other cameras. (Thanks, Chris, for running around and getting these!)

Stay tuned for an exciting way that YOU can throw your own party to benefit Operation Shower. If you haven't already seen it on the other blogs while I was out of town last week! : )

I can't event begin to describe all the wonderful details in this Lumberjack and Jill party. It is now one of my favorite parties I've seen online. It's that good. That corn alone is killing me.
.

.
This baby girl shower is so tweet. Loving the design on the printed items.

If Frilly Milly isn't among your regular reads then perhaps it's time you add it. I can't wait to see what is next!

Fabulous Feather Fete

.
I am so excited to share this lovely lemon and gray "Feather Her Nest" baby shower sent in by the talented, Rachael of Phoenix Event Planning.

Not only does it coordinate nicely with the yellows in the post below, but it all goes so well together. Such a sophisticated color palette and design, topped off with flawless execution by Rachael.
.

.
I love it when things that you know are extremely detailed and time consuming come across as so effortlessly chic!
.

.
Rachael even took real eggs, hollowed them out and painted them to become the perfect little sign holders. Talk about details!
.

.
The perfection extended all the way down to the paperie for the games. Love. That.

There are more photos as well as very generous details here on Rachael's blog. You must go check it out to find even more inspiration! Don't stop at the one post because you'll want to scroll down to this one to see the invitation that set the stage for this lovely affair.

Thanks so much for sharing this with me, Rachael. I look forward to more!

Red White & Coo Snaps and Claps

There are so many professional photos to show you from this incredible Operation Shower event but I thought I'd take baby steps (no pun intended) and spoon feed (okay, maybe that was intentional) them to you.

I have to borrow some from the post I did on our blog and thank some of our amazing sponsors and donors while I'm at it!

All photos in this post (other than the bookshelf of treat bags and red wagon full of candy) were shot and generously donated by the talented, Velia, of Velia Roldan Photography.

Baked goods for the sweets table were donated by Cinotti's Bakery. They.Were.Delicious.

Printed items such as sweets labels and shower in a box labels were designed by me, Amy of Operation Shower and Stem Parties, and generously printed by Print Today in St. Louis. Thank you, Huck and team!

The "Oprah" moment when 36 PGA TOUR volunteers walked in with a car seat for each mom was incredible and made possible by Kmart. Not only did Kmart donate the car seats but also donated almost all of the items for our moms! We can't thank you enough!

Those "blue boxes"...Tiffany & Co donated gorgeous crystal serving pieces. What a special treat!

Whole Foods went above and beyond in donating food for the event, gorgeous floral centerpieces for the food table as well as gift cards attached to a long stemmed rose for each mom. We love Whole Foods!

collage3

Thank you once again to our incredible invitation sponsor, TinyPrints, for our continued relationship. We treasure you!

We are so excited to have a new connection with Build A Bear. We love this fellow hometown St. Louis group and look forward to many more smiles to come with the donation of darling teddy bears.

Happy Moms? You bet! Thank you Peace Love Mom for always being such a great supporter of Operation Shower and donating your adorable tshirts. A picture IS worth a thousand words and so is a Happy Mom tshirt!

More photos and thank yous to come. I still have so many to go through. Maybe you can use some ideas for the 4th of July at this rate. : )

Cheers,

Amy

So Tweet

.
Bird and Feathering Your Nest themed parties are all the rage these days. For someone with a fear of birds like me, this could be a problem. Thankfully, the birds du jour are cute little birdies that even I can love.

This baby shower is certainly proof that not all birds are scary little creatures just waiting to peck out my eyes.

The color combination and natural elements here are anything but a fright and are just pure delight.
