Inspiration: The Sweetest Thing

...
Stem Inspiration: The Sweetest Thing

It never gets old to get such nice emails from you all saying you used an idea you've seen here to celebrate and make someone you love feel special!

Cristina recently sent me a link to a baby shower she did using The Sweetest Thing baby shower as her inspiration. Yep, still love the giant candy lanterns. She topped off some huge vases with a version of them. Good move filling them with
tissue paper. That would have take a ton of candy to fill those, girl!

I'm with you Cristina - edible centerpieces are the best. Then again, maybe I'm just fighting off the late night snack attack! You can find a few more pictures of Cristina's party on her blog, The Wright Blessings.

Absolutely cool! This would even go well at a wedding with a candy bar or a kids bday party! This is great!

I feel like a rock star! The "tissue paper" was actually streamers. I had them on the banister and decided I didn't like it. I was gonna fill the vases with small balloons but they lost their color when I blew them up. So this was option 2 but I loved how it turned out. Great texture!

Amy, I have been an avid viewer but have never left a comment. I am now writing to tell you that I love your ideas and want to thank you for sharing. I wrote a post about you on my blog.

I am planning 3 baby showers, and for the 2nd one, I showed my friend the invitation I wanted to use (she get nervous when I told her I want to use a bunch of colors), and she LOVED it!

She then said it made her want some candy, so I decided to search for ideas. I then came to this posting, and I just ADORE it! She definitely has a sweets craving, so it will fit perfectly. I will be using a "baby stuff & sweet things" theme, but I will make SURE I link back to you!

Here's the invitation that inspired me:
