The work I did is part of Pampers new “Ultimate Baby Shower and Registry Guide” available on Pampers Village, a leading online resource for families, at www.pampers.com/mybabyregistry. From determining and organizing gift registries to planning the perfect celebration, Pampers listened to new parents everywhere to add a few new additions of their own including two unique, first of their kind digital gift registry and baby shower applications, as well as custom content written by mom bloggers and party planning professionals that offer parents-to-be, friends and families useful tools in planning for parenthood, all in one, easy-to-access place.

As part of the “Ultimate Baby Shower and Registry Guide,” Pampers is proud to introduce two applications: My Baby Registry and My Baby Shower, to complement the brand’s Hello Baby application. First, the My Baby Registry application provides expectant families the ability to combine any product from multiple retailers on to one registry and easily share items, news, and information with relatives and friends.

The application is currently available for consumers on several platforms, including:

• Pampers Village – provides the ability to manage your registry and connect with friends and family. You can also search Google Products within the application to add products to your registry. This site is perfect for users who may not utilize Facebook and can be found at www.Pampers.com/mybabyregistry.
• Facebook – the first of its kind on Facebook, this application takes all the functionalities offered on the Pampers Village application and amplifies them one step further with the unique capability of connecting with your own social network. Whether you’re sharing your baby registry with friends and family, letting them know when you’ve received gifts, sending virtual “thank you” notes or even sharing your personal pregnancy stories via a custom blog, this application provides expectant parents with the ultimate sharing experience.
• Mobile – available in formats for iPhone and Blackberry users, this application connects you to your registry online via Pampers Village or Facebook. Its unique barcode scanning feature allows you to add items to your registry from any store, anywhere. Its easy scroll-through feature also allows you to keep track of your baby registry while on-the-go.

My Baby Registry offers unique components such as retail barcode scanning, instant sharing capabilities with Facebook networks, and an interactive blogging feature for expectant parents to share pregnancy experiences with friends. It is Pampers first fully integrated digital application connecting social networks with mobile capabilities, as well as the first iPhone application for the brand.

As part of this baby shower offering, Pampers is also excited to announce My Baby Shower, an application to provide expectant parents, family and friends the useful tools for party planning from start to finish – from providing great party theme advice and sending invitations, to keeping track of your guest list and sharing photos after the shower is over. My Baby Shower is currently available via the Facebook platform.

Additionally, Pampers has partnered with six notable party planning professionals and parenting bloggers to share their personal insights and ideas in preparing for a parenthood debut. Articles in Pampers Village’s new “Ultimate Baby Shower and Registry Guide” section cover an array of topics from themes, games, food, decorating and preparation tips, to registry ideas and gift guides. Content providers include: Allison Czarnecki (PetitElefant. com), Amy Belle Isle (StemParties.Blogspot.com), Audrey McClelland (MomGenerations.com), Jane Maynard (ThisWeekForDinner.com), Lori Falcon (ACowboysWife.com), and Tammy Gibson (AMomInRedHighHeels.com).
