Found Treasure! (It Is Right In Front Of You)

.
I'm not sure what I love most about this
Treasure Hunt birthday party by lotus+november.

There is no hiding the fact that the invitations, printables and fantastic game map really set the stage for a great party. You know I love that. In fact, that map is kind of making me to good kind of crazy.

What I might love even more? And, yes, this might sound strange coming from a party girl that likes to pour over every single detail to the point of making everyone around her (read: my husband) laugh. I can't help it though - I love the fact that this party is such a great reminder that you can have an amazing party in the park with just a few, well-executed details. I think we forget sometimes that kids can have fun just about anywhere!

So, for those of you who don't have huge budgets and often wish you had more money or resources for your kids' parties - just stop. You have more than enough. You have each other. You have friends.

Simplify. Remember what you liked when you were a kid. Enjoy being together and watching your kids run and play with their friends. Hey, call it "nostalgic" or "old school" if it helps!

Whatever you do....enjoy.

I love this! I did a treasure hunt this summer and I knew I wanted to do beautiful prints but I couldn't get them quite right. Love these maps! Mine is here: http://diyingtobedomestic.wordpress.com/2010/06/07/treasure-hunt/

A treasure hunt! What a wonderful idea! And here I am reserving all the hunting for Easter. The maps are a nice touch as well. I love them!
