{Isn't She} Pretty In Pink?

Every event I get to do, be it for business or pleasure, brings me so much joy. This one here was especially sweet as it was for one of my oldest (okay, I'm older than you, Kacie) friends.

See, Kacie and I became friends in the 7th grade. Apparently she was too cool for me when she transferred into our 6th grade class. We were full-on children of the 80s have the bad hair photos to prove it.

Kacie LOVED the movie "Pretty in Pink." When I say "love" I mean L-O-V-E-D. As in, saw it at the theater every day for solid week and then about 957 times after that.

So, naturally, when I found out she was having a girl and several other old Jr. High friends could attend the shower, it was a no-brainer to me to try and combine all those things into one sophisticated yet fun 80s baby shower. I know. 80s? Sophisticated? You're thinking oxymoron, too, eh?

Get your oversized glasses with the gold initial stickers in the corner on and take a gander at these. Just make sure you take that huge comb out of your back pocket before you sit on it.

Love the pink cassettes, the pink duckies, the pink dessert table, the pink hanging paper I can't remember what they are called things, and all the beautiful pink flowers, the albums, and the adorable cupcakes. Did I miss anything? What a fun party. I am a believer that it is the friends we knew even before high school that are the most fun to catch up with.

Thanks, everyone. You guys are so awesome and just continually make my day!

Carrie, Amber, Natalie - thank you, girls. All the little things add up!

Chris - I don't know how my brain works but I could say the same about you, missy. I kind of love those boxes with the forms in them so thanks for noticing!

Kendall - if you click on any of the mosaics they should enlarge. The records have a few baby related songs I typed up and then put the parents to be as the producers. (Pretty in Pink, Baby Love, She's Got A Way, etc....)

I am kicking myself for not taking a picture of the inside of the boxes. They were little handmade box lunches wrapped in pink tissue paper. You know how you get busy and forget to snap a pic of every single thing though! I also didn't have a chance to snap some of the special guestbook we all made at the shower. Durrrrr.

There should be more of details later on HWTM. I wanted to save some special deets for Jenn to post soon!

I know you din't just use my actual gold initial Tootsie glasses as fodder for the descriptive text in this story without giving me credit. I. Know. You. Din't.

Nevertheless, the pics are amazing, the decor was glorious, and you are gifted (if not a bit of a thief).
